I noticed the use of "kimle" in the dialogue, but I've also seen "kiminle" with the same meaning. Is one more proper in writing or speaking? Is "kiminle" an older usage? Teşekkürler.

They are exactly the same. "Kimle" usually isn't used in writing - use "kiminle." But when speaking, Turkish prefer the shorter "kimle."

You can say "onunla." Vowel harmony matches that "u" in "onun" with the "la" suffix, not "le."
It's identical to "onun ile," but you'll actually hear onunla more commonly. :)

I'm a bit confused by this sentence in the review section..."Çünkü önce aslanlar polisi yakaladı" Isn't it supposed to be "Çünkü önce aslanlar polisi yakaladılar"?

Actually, the -lar suffix in verbs is almost always optional if the subject is explicit. In the sentence you mentioned, "aslanlar" is specifically mentioned, so we know the subject is plural. In that case, we don't have to include the -lar suffix on the verb.
If we didn't mention "aslanlar," we definitely would have wanted to say "çünkü önce polisi yakaladılar" to make it clear we are talking about the plural lions.
In daily spoken Turkish, it's *extremely* common to leave off the plural suffix on the verb.

No, it's definitely not grammatically incorrect. In colloquial Turkish, there are certain times when Turks don't like to include it because it "sounds strange," but you don't need to worry about that.

I think you need to add "Hayır, kahve içmedim" as another correct alternative answer...

As a tip for those struggling to remember the consonant mutation letters (e.g. when -di changed to -ti). Remember the sentence Efe Paşa çok Hasta. If a verb ends in any of the consonants in the sentence (f, p, ş, ç, k, h, s, and t) then the -di changes to -ti.
