Does the verb "itmek" mutate? Is it "itiyor" or "idiyor" ... I don't think it mutates but according to the rules it should ...is this an 'exception' to the word?
Justin
It does not mutate; itiyor and itecek are correct. There are several exceptions to this rule (some which we mention in the podcast), but there's no way to predict them all the time. In general, though, one syllable words that begin with vowels seem to often be exceptions (for example, ip).

"Sebebi ne acaba?"
Can you please explain this construction. "I wonder what the cause is." Are we really saying, "I wonder what its cause is." Is that what the "i" is doing on "sebep"? Because "sebep" is not an object here, correct?
Teşekkürler!

great job .. many thanks guys
The mutation of letters is the point to learn hard Turkish, because in the first sight of a word - it doesn't looks like in my vokabularlist. To speak and to hear new words is very important to get it.
Thanks a lot!
