The website is excellent, thank you, but I have found a small problem with the beginners Review.
The question:-

Which of the following mean something close to I have money or I have the money?

All the answers in the boxes are coming up incorrect.

Kind Regards Jean

Hi Jean!

I just checked it, and it looks like it's working. It will only show a green check mark if all of your selections are correct.

Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Hi Justin,
Please inform your subscribers what is going on at TTT.
It doesn't seem like you were taking a week off as you wrote 2-3 weeks ago.

All the best

Hello Shaimaa. I'm Hala from Syria. How are you? what's going on Shaimaa??? Why have our guys stopped posting new lessons again?? Do you have any idea?? Also on their facebook page, they haven't mentioned or posted anything about whenever they will continue posting new lessons!!!

When they have stopped the first time, that's was because of the troubles in Istanbul, but now I think hopefully that the conditions are getting better there than before. Or maybe the crew of this website is on a summer holiday or they are busy!!! Anyway the most important thing is that all the crew is fine and also everything is tamam wherever they are.

I really miss them all. Allah Bless their efforts, because TTT is really a very useful and excellent website for teaching Turkish I have ever seen. I have really learnt a lot from this fantastic website. :) Actually, I can't wait to get started again. I hope they come back soooon.

Hi everyone - thank you so very much for your concerns. It means a lot to us. And my deepest apologies for taking so long to reply.

Turkish Tea Time is an effort by myself and about five Turkish colleagues. When the protests broke out here in Istanbul, most of us became heavily involved. All of us are safe and sound now, but it threw off our finely calibrated weekly schedule that allowed us to do seven lessons per week for two and a half months. For a combination of reasons relating to this, we've had a lot of difficulty producing our lessons regularly.

Anyway, we should be back now. We may miss a day here or there for the next couple of weeks, but expect to start seeing daily updates again.

Again, thank you for your messages, and we're sorry. Please email me at justin@turkishteatime.com, and I'll be happy to give anyone two months for free.

Hi Öğrenci - "on me" is actually the colloquial English we use when talking about money, i.e. "I have five dollars on me." That's why we translated it that way in the dialog.

Welcome back ;)
When you are back I'm also back. 2 Months free is not necessary. TTT needs all the support it can get. This is absolutely the best resource for learning Turkish that I have found.
From the number of comments when you were away it seems too few people subscribe to this wonderful site.
So fellow members - let's spread the word - let us tell the people in our network about TTT. More subscribers is the best way to make it worth while for Justin and his hardworking team to keep TTT going.

Hi Justin...once again a splendid and clear lesson.

I have a question about your last example in the Language Points.

It should be showing the use of 'yan', but no 'yan' appears. Should it read...Onlarin yaninda bir bilgisayar var? or Bilgisayar (onların) yanında?
Jun 08, 2017
Justin
Brilliant catch!

I changed it to: "Bilgisayarları yanlarında." (Your examples were grammatically solid, though you'd be more likely to hear the example I just mentioned in practice.)

Hi! Under Language Points, I'm trying to understand why "var" is not part of the last four examples.

At the beginning of the lesson, we have "Bende para var."
In one of the last four examples, we have "Telefonum sende."

Why is it not "Telefonum sende var" ? Is it simply a different construction with the "sende" following the object? If we wanted to say my money is on you (ie, you have my money), could we say "Sende param var" or would we have to say "Param sende"? Thanks!
